Tonight I ate as an orphan. I tried to get out of it, but the nanny wouldn't hear of it. She was very kind to include me in their meal. I had a meat of some sort (the size of an egg), cold corn (one tablespoon full), 2 spoonfuls of buttery potatoes, and a 1/2 a slice of bread with butter. Very small portions- it's no wonder my newest daughter is so skinny!
My first meal since my (chef) husband went home, and let's just say, I miss him a little more tonight LOL I think I'll have cipro for dessert... just for good measure.
All kidding aside, I was truly honored to be invited to dine with the kids. This orphanage has been really, really awesome to us.

Glad to hear you and your girl are doing well. I remember my dinner at the orphanage. Mashed potatoes, buttery bread and the biggest pickle I had ever seen. Pray all goes well for the remainder of your trip.
Such a friendly gesture, to invite you to eat with them! How very kind - but sad that the childrens portions are so small.
Anyhow, congratulations to your new girls! Can't wait too read about them coming home with you - what a day to celebrate that'll be!
What a kind gesture to invite you to dinner. Sounds like the director and staff have really welcomed you in this region. You have won them over with your charm :)
